About Us
Leaders is a private not-for-profit organization that has been a part of the Queens community since 2003. What started as a fun summer camp program became a year-round institution focusing on educational studies (and fun too!). Our organization has been able to steadily grow over the years thanks to the word of mouth of many happy families. We believe that children learn best when they lead with curiosity and passion. At Leaders, we strive to play an active role in preparing tomorrow’s leaders, today.
Certified Teachers
We care about our students’ success. Class sizes are kept small with a 6:1 student-to-teacher ratio so every child gets the attention they deserve. Our carefully selected staff have backgrounds ranging from Education, Psychology, Mathematics and Literary Studies, along with years of childcare experience.
Nurturing Environment
Whether it’s homework help or test prep, lesson plans are tailored based on each students’ needs and abilities. The proximity of our program in each child’s school means students are taught in familiar surroundings with no need for transport. Of course, there are other perks as well - sharing a space means having an open line of communication between your child’s school and our program, always.
Room for Fun!
We encourage play-based learning with plenty of activities to stimulate the curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional growth of our little ones. When the sun’s out you’ll find us in the playground blowing bubbles and flying kites. Rainy days mean board games and arts & crafts. Whatever the day, we believe there’s always room for play.

“As a mother of an active 7 year old, who has to work full time, I always want to know my child is safe, well cared for and happy. Since enrolling him in the Leaders afterschool program for the past two years they have NEVER disappointed me. They are kind, generous and nurturing towards the children. “I've had my children enrolled in the Leaders After School program for their entire time in PS32 (outside of remote learning). I can say that through the years, the entire staff at Leaders has been great! From assisting with homework/study - to encouraging healthy relationships with peers, I can tell that the staff genuinely do care for the children. The staff are constantly reminding us of upcoming tests or events to help get the kids prepared and they certainly focus on academic preparation. In addition to a recap of the "fun" or "interesting" things that occurred while interacting with others. It's such a convenience that this operates inside the school building and the children are kept safe the entire time.
